Welcome to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church!
Worship service begins at 10:15 am every Sunday and Wednesday. Bible study is also every Sunday and Wednesday at 9:00 am. When arriving to worship enter through the main ramp doors that face Locust Street or South 6th Street. Look for the WELCOME banners! You will be greeted with a smile! If you have any questions when you enter just ask one of our Ushers or anyone! We are a welcoming and friendly congregation. There is music during the worship service and we love to sing! When Holy Communion is offered, follow these helpful guidelines:
At the conclusion of worship there is a simple coffee hour with a Keurig Coffee Machine and some prepackaged snacks. Hymnals are in the pews for singing, and the weekly bulletins will contain the order of worship and announcements. Pastor is available at the conclusion of worship. We do not have a staffed nursery but we know that sometimes children may need a little break! Our nursery has a speaker to hear the service if you need to use it. Adult Bible Study & Children’s Faith Formation Bible Study is held in the Narthex before the worship service and begins at 9am. (Sept. to May) Children’s Sunday school is held downstairs in the Sunday School room at 9am each Sunday. If You Prefer to Worship Virtually through Technology visits the LIVESTREAM – through our Facebook page Sunday mornings at 10:15 am. Campus Activity and outside groups All activity on campus is authorized by the Church Council. Auxiliary Groups: (e.g. All Community Groups, Our Home of Hope, Boy Scouts, 4C) may be permitted to operate on campus with church council approval.
